I've been running for most of my life. Long enough to call myself a serious amateur, not elite, but the kind of runner who tracks splits, obsesses over recovery, and reads about carbohydrate absorption on rest days.

Like most endurance runners, I used gels. And like most endurance runners, I hated them. Expensive syrup in a plastic pouch, flavoured to mask the fact that it's just maltodextrin and fructose. They worked, barely, but my stomach paid for it.

So I started bringing a tube of honey instead. No packaging, no ingredient list. Just honey. It worked just as well, and my gut stopped complaining.

Over the years I started experimenting, electrolytes, water, adjusting the fructose-to-glucose ratio until it was optimised for race pace. N47 is the result.

Honey is the most underrated performance fuel on the planet. Add a little science, and you get a complete system that just works.
